Importing options of a previous MZ-Tools version |
Top Previous Next |
When you load MZ-Tools 8.0 for the first time you are asked to import the options of MZ-Tools 7.0, MZ-Tools 6.0 or MZ-Tools 3.0 if those previous versions are detected. For example, for MZ-Tools 3.0, its .ini file must be detected in this folder (notice that AppData is a hidden folder): C:\Users\<your_user>\AppData\Roaming\MZTools Software\MZTools3 Then you get a prompt to import the MZ-Tools 3.0 options (such as code templates, module/procedure headers, error handler, etc.), which also converts predefined variables from the version 3.0 format to the new one of version 8.0. If that prompt to import options was missed, you can force a new prompt closing Microsoft Office and using regedit.exe to delete the DoNotShowOptionsWindowFirstTime entry of the following registry key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\MZTools Software\MZTools8 If, for any reason, you need to convert the predefined variables by hand, see the equivalence in the table at the bottom of the Predefined Variables help page. While most options are imported seamlessly, some MZ-Tools 6.0 or MZ-Tools 3.0 options have changed significantly in MZ-Tools 8.0, so you need to review the importation or configure them again. |
