Installation

To install MZ-Tools 6.0 for VS.NET follow these steps:

• Close all instances of Microsoft Visual Studio.
• Run the setup program and follow the instructions on the screen.
• Once MZ-Tools is installed, you must copy the license file that you receive when purchasing the product in the same folder where you have installed MZ-Tools.
• If you are working inside a team:

• If you are the team leader, configure the options of MZ-Tools and then move to some shared network folder the MZTools6CorporateOptions.xml file which is located inside this folder:

Windows Vista: "C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\MZTools Software\MZTools6"
 
Windows 2000/XP: "C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\MZTools Software\MZTools6"
 
Note: in non-English Windows 2000/XP operating systems, the "Application Data" folder is localized (for example, in Spanish is "Datos de programa") although the "Application Data" folder may exist too because some buggy software creates it without taking into account that it should use a localized name.

You should set that file read-only (MZ-Tools is aware of this flag) and set the permissions on that folder to read-only so other developers can not change that flag or the corporate options file.

• If you aren't the team leader, ask him / her the location of the corporate options file (it should be in a shared network folder) and point to it in the General Personal Options section.

Remarks:

• MZ-Tools must be installed on the hard disk, not in a shared network folder.
