The Statistics feature allows you to get the number of code lines, comment lines, total lines, procedures and controls of each source code file, along with totals. Blank lines are excluded from the statistics.
MZ-Tools offers the following ways to get statistics:
- The Tools | MZ-Tools | Other Utilities | Statistics menu: with this menu, you get statistics of all the projects of a group.
- The Statistics context menu of a project in the Project Explorer of Visual Basic: with this menu you get the statistics of the selected project.
- The Statistics context menu of a file in the Project Explorer of Visual Basic: with this menu, you get the statistics of the selected file.
- The Other Utilities | Statistics menu on the MZ-Tools toolbar: with this menu, you get statistics of all the projects of a group.
- The shortcut customized in the Options window, Shortcuts tab: with this shortcut, you get statistics of all the projects of a group.
The results are shown in the Statistics window:
In this window you can sort the results, export them to a text file (tab delimited) or copy them to the clipboard to paste them in Microsoft Excel, for example.
