Collapse Projects

The Collapse Projects feature allows you to collapse the projects in the Project Explorer to just one level:

collapse_projects

MZ-Tools offers the following ways to collapse projects:

  • The Tools | MZ-Tools | Collapse Projects menu.
  • The Collapse Projects context menu of a project in the Project Explorer of Visual Basic.
  • The Collapse Projects button on the MZ-Tools toolbar.
  • The shortcut customized in the Options window, Shortcuts tab.

This feature also fixes a bug that can occur in the Project Explorer:

  • Open Visual Basic. Project1 and Form1 are created by default.
  • Add a second form, Form2.
  • In the Project Explorer, click on the Form1. The Form1 item is selected.
  • Right-click on the Form2 item. The context menu appears.
  • While the context menu is shown, click with the left button of the mouse on the Form1 item. The context menu is closed and the Form1 item has the rectangle border of the selected item (which is right) but the Form2 item remains with the blue background.

Clicking the Collapse Projects button of MZ-Tools fixes this problem.

Remarks:

  • This feature works also at debug-time or run-time but only using a keyboard shortcut.
