INFO: Add-in project template moved to Visual Studio 2013 SDK

Introduction

In previous versions of Visual Studio (2002, 2003, 2005, 2008, 2010 and 2012), to create a new add-in the New Project dialog included a "Visual Studio Add-in" project template under the "Other Project Types" \ "Extensibility" node. However, in Visual Studio 2013 there is no such node.

More Information

In Visual Studio 2013 the "Visual Studio Add-in" project template has been moved to the Visual Studio 2013 SDK, which also provides project templates for other extension kinds (packages, MEF, etc.). You need to install the Visual Studio 2013 SDK for the "Visual Studio Add-in" project template to appear.
